Travelling to Loughborough
Loughborough is located in the East Midlands of the UK and has great transport links. A useful map of the Loughborough University campus is here and the conference will be held in the “James France” building.
The campus is easily accessible by a variety of transport modes. The closest airport to Loughborough University is East Midlands Airport, however it is a fairly small airport and does not service a large number of flights. Other larger airports with transport links to Loughborough include Manchester, Birmingham, and the London airports.

There is a range of accommodation in Loughborough town centre and the surrounding area, and also on the Loughborough University campus. Campus accommodation (Burleigh Court, the Elite Athlete Centre and Hotel, The Link Hotel) will be closer to the conference venues, whereas hotels in the town centre are closer to pubs/restaurants and the train station, and can be at a lower budget point.
Please note that Loughborough University campus hotels are also available to the general public and may sell out, so availability is on a first come, first served basis.
Hotels in the town include Premier Inn and Travelodge (both approximately 20-25 minutes walk to the conference venue) but close to the town centre. Loughborough train station is approximately 40minutes walk to the conference venue, with the town centre approximately half-way in between. There is also a bus that runs frequently between the campus and town centre- 18 minute journey, and the campus and the train station - a 20 minute journey.
